The project Female Digital Creativity – FLUX, co-funded by the European Union (EACEA/Creative Europe), the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, the Croatian Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs, the Istrian Region, and the City of Labin, is a joint venture of Labin Art Express XXI (HR), Alice in Blockchains (HR), MOTA – Museum of Transitory Art (SI), and MEET Digital Culture Center (IT).
Addressing the issue of gender equality in the NFT and digital art world, the project’s goal was to develop, present, and promote digital creativity while encouraging greater engagement of women artists in the field of new technologies, specifically blockchain and NFTs. This European collaborative project, which began in December 2024 and concludes this January, has empowered the creative capacities and digital skills of approximately 70 artists from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and beyond, fostering the development of their professional and critical discourse. The highlight of the project was an exhibition of NFT works held at Galerija Novo in Pula in September and October 2025. This was organized as part of the collateral program of the 5th Industrial Art Biennial, titled “The Vast Automaton,” and was subsequently presented at MOTA in Ljubljana and the MEET Center in Milan.
